This fundraiser encourages READING!
Our new Read-A-Thon (“RAT”) program brings students together with family and friends to encourage reading and build literacy skills. Friends and family can support and encourage reading by making a pledge on behalf of the student.
Students will earn rewards for reading!
As students collect pledges and track their reading minutes in their Read-a-Thon dashboard, they will earn “RAT” bucks that they can use in the Read-A-Thon online store. Prizes range from pencils and erasers to toys, books, art supplies, and even plushies. Prizes will ship to the school (at no cost to you) and will be distributed 2-3 weeks after the fundraiser ends.
Students will love shopping for their own prizes!
2023 Read-A-Thon Dates:
Round 1: Tracks A and D – September 25-October 6
Round 2: Tracks B, C, and T – October 30-November 10
Bonus Prizes!
Besides the prizes students will earn from the “RAT” online store, the top classes in each group who raise the most money will win a class pizza party. The second place winners of the groups will win an ice cream party. Additionally, the top ten readers (students with the most reading minutes) in each round will also win a certificate for a scoop of ice cream from Handel’s Ice Cream!
*Students also earn reading minutes when grown-ups read to them!
