VAPA = Visual and Performing Arts
Our VAPA program is 100% funded by the Joseph Sims PTO, and provides art classes and dance classes to all our students. Because our VAPA program is fully paid by the PTO, fundraising and donations are critical in order to keep this program going.
How to help VAPA:
- Purchase a VAPA T-Shirt! Every year we have a new shirt, designed by a Joseph Sim’s student. View the shirt and order here!
- Make a direct donation to the VAPA program.
- Purchase needed supplies from the VAPA Amazon Wish List or our PTO and VAPA Supplies List.
- Order a DVD and/or photo from your child’s VAPA performance.
- Purchase dinner from the food truck on VAPA Performance nights – see the calendar for more info.
VAPA 2023/2024 Schedule
Students will receive 5 to 7 weeks of dance instruction, including rehearsal and a show performance, as well as 5-7 weeks of art instruction. Artwork will be displayed at the annual Musuem Night, held the same evening as Open House in the spring.

VAPA Dance Performance 3 (C Track): Thursday, March 21, 2024
ZintZuni Food Truck will be in the Sims Parking Lot at 6:00pm on March 21, giving back a portion of the sale to the PTO! All tracks are welcome to enjoy dinner.
